The notion of a male version of menopause has been around for a couple of years, but the truth is: it doesn’t really exist. Although men do experience a decline in hormone levels, in particular the male hormone testosterone, it’s not as drastic as when women experience menopause and starts happening gradually (1% a year) after a man reaches the age of 30 and can cause various sexual and physical problems.

According to a recent report, campaigners for the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges are calling for a restriction of fast food and drinks advertising by companies such as McDonalds and Coca-Cola to ensure that they don’t subliminally influence people to buy fast food during the Olympics.

I hate advertisements as much as the next person, but hardly think that a couple of weeks of sponsorship advertising will turn an entire nation obese; the problem...
